Breñay Marismas de Barbate Natural Park and Los Alcornocales Natural Park
Costa de la Luz is a natural paradise with spectacular parks everywhere. There are six natural parks within easy reach of Hotel Sindhura:
Just a short drive from the hotel, Breña Natural Park offers 28km of woodland trails beneath a canopy of stone pine as well as marine reserves. Cliffs, caves and waterfalls can also be found here.
Set among sandstone mountains, Los Alcornocales Natural Park contains the world’s largest forest of cork oak (alcornnocles) and is home to the Cortes de la Frontera National Game Reserve. A wide diversity of flora and fauna can be seen in this beautiful park.


Doñana National Park
Doñana National Park includes pine and oak woodland bordering the wetlands of the Guadalquivir estuary, where a huge sandbar has created a vast saline lake. Marshland, lagoons, and wonderful sand dunes abound. Among the rich and diverse array of flora and fauna, eagles and vultures are to be sighted. Public access to this park is restricted to visitor centres and marked trails.
El Estrecho Natural Park
Situated at the southern most tip of Spain where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic, El Estrecho Natural Park includes coastal and marine environments. It is rich in plant and animal life with almost 2,000 species of plant and animal having been discovered here. Just 14km from Morocco it is the perfect spot to watch birds migrating from Africa. During spring and autumn, up to a million birds of over 200 species pass through.



Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park
Adjoining Los Alcornocales Natural Park, Grazalema Natural Park is set among magnificent limestone mountains some as high as 1,600 metres. Everywhere you will see deep ravines such as the Garganta Verde Gorge, which is 400 metres deep, grottos, caves, and lush vegetation fed by the moist Atlantic breezes. Among the extraordinary range of flora and fauna to be seen here you will find the extremely rare Spanish fir.
Bahia de Cadiz Natural Park
Bahia de Cadiz Natural Park is a wetland park consisting of a river estuary, marshlands beaches, dunes and rocky islands. It supports over 200 species of bird.
